Robert S. Kapust, O.D.
Dr. Kapust is California licensed optometrist who has practiced in the South Bay since 1977. He is board certified to diagnose, treat, and manage diseases of the eye. He is a graduate (1977) of the highly regarded Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton where he served as president of his senior class.
Dr. Kapust has a special interest and 33 years of experience in vision improvement, including vision therapy, the exciting science of Orthokeratology (Corneal Reshaping Technique).He is certified in the pre-op and post-op of Refractive Surgery (LASIK) and has been working with Lasik patients since 1994. He has been involved with all the new advances in the refractive surgery field including the new implantable lenses (ICL) for highly nearsighted individuals. He is also interested in vocational vision, especially the impact of computer use on vision.
Dr. Kapust has been a member of Vision Source since 2009. Vision Source was founded in 1991 with the belief that eye health care is best provided by an caring independent family eye doctor. As a member of Vision Source, Dr Kapust has access to the added knowledge and resources of a network of 2000 doctors throughout the U.S.
He is a member of the California Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association and the South Bay Optometric Society. He is on the Board of Directors of the South Bay Optometric Society and Advisory Board of NVISION.
