Pediatric Vision
Critical ages for children to be examined are 6-18 months and again at age 3, to see if eyes and vision are developing normally. The next exam is before first grade to assess visual readiness and in time for preventive care for susceptible children, and third grade when many children's vision begins to deteriorate or first impedes learning.
Don't hesitate to call with any questions or concerns you have regarding your children's vision. School is 80% visual. Slow focusing, restricted eye-aiming, teaming and movements, even visual/perceptual difficulties respond to vision enhancement training and learning lenses. Both children and adults can have these problems. |
